Review Entries for Day Friday, 13 August 2010

Alastair Revell commented on the importance of domain security in an article written by journalist Kathleen Hall of Computer Weekly today.

The article was concerned that many SMEs lack the skills needed to run their own websites.

Alastair Revell said: “There is an argument that using external expertise is very valuable to SMEs, especially in areas such as web publishing, where in-house skills are likely to be in very short supply. However, owners and managers must be careful not to lose control.”

He was concerned that many SMEs fail to ensure that their domains are actually registered in their own name, which can lead to problems.
