Review Entries for Day Monday, 12 July 2010

The Institution of Analysts and Programmers has just announced that its Autumn Conference for 2010 will be held in London on Friday, 17th September 2010 and will concentrate on The Intelligent Environment.

The programme of speakers at the event includes Professor Peter McOwan from the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from Queen Mary College, University of London; Keith Errey, the COO and Founder of Toumaz Technology Limited; Blay Whitby, Lecturer in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Sussex; Jon Bird, Head of Sustainability for CE Electric UK and Rachel Cary, a senior policy advisor for the Green Alliance.

The Institution has a good reputation for putting on thought-provoking conferences and seminars as the UK's leading body for those engaged in business analysis and software development.

This conference is being held at The Magic Circle's Headquarters at 12 Stephenson Way, London NW1 2HD, which is just two minutes from Euston and seven minutes from King's Cross, which adds an interesting twist. As the literature for the event says: "This is where the finest magicians in the world meet regularly to invent illusions, share secrets and master their magic. There is a small exhibition of magical equipment, but please note that the Institution will take no responsibility for members who disappear into mystery cabinets or get sawn in half."

The cost to non-members is £188.00 (including VAT) and £94.00 (including VAT) to Members of the Institution. More details: http://www.iap.org.uk/main/autumn-conference-2010
